I put the computer on a platform and connect two pairs of headphones. I put one pair on and leave another available for the public. I stick a sign on my computer that says: Would you like to listen? Would you like to listen? I look through the playlist and choose the romantic songs I want to dance to. I see that you look at me from afar, it makes you dizzy to get close but we dance from a distance. You do dare to come up to me, you make a sign for me to take off my headphones but I don&#8217;t take them off, I grab the other pair and offer them to you. You smile and put them on. I dedicate the love song we are listening to to you, I dedicate it to you and also to her, to him and her and them and them, to them\u2026<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Codificada is a participatory installation in which a performer meticulously dances to what she hears in her headphones. She physically translates the lyrics of very famous boleros. She undertakes the difficult task of transferring the messages of certain love songs to the body. Listening to \u201cCosa m\u00e1s bella que t\u00fa\u201d is not the same as seeing someone as beautiful as you. She moves compulsively, without stopping. She is like a hyperkinetic living statue that seduces the public. With irony she moves, shakes, decodes, recodes, disassembles, diverts, amplifies, distorts the meanings of each song.
